Dr. Leonida Makila
Leunita Makutsa, PhD. is a Lecturer of Psychology and Counseling at Kibabii University, Bungoma, Kenya? She is a coordinator Part-time, Evening and Weekend Based Programs. She holds expertise and applied knowledge across specialties including: Education; , Counseling; Mediation and training; advocacy for girls and women empowerment; behavior modification skills; Crisis management communication; adolescent crisis management; education policy and advocacy; health communication campaigns; public policy and advocacy; Fundraising/resource mobilization; She is early scholars researcher, Developing Country Fellow, has won and managed grants funded by International Society for the Study of Behavioral Development (ISSBD). She is grounded in qualitative data analysis, has published in peer reviewed journal articles as well as delivered lectures, presented papers in both local and conferences on various aspect of trauma, children and resilience. She is an educationist and Counsellor Consultant, serves as the Chair County Education Board, Bungoma County, a member of International Society for Behavioral Development(ISSBD), Scientific Research in adolescent’s (SRA) and Kenya Victimology Society of Kenya (VSK).
